“If you are considering hiring a handyman for your home project, look no further than Chris Wojtylko with The Home Hands. His work ethic is a throw-back to the days when folks took pride in their work, paid attention to detail, and charged a fair price. Chris also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the job, making him a jack-of-all trades. I’ve had the good fortune of hiring Chris for a number of projects over the last two years, including outdoor deck construction and an attic remodel. He also specializes in using reclaimed materials, which comes in handy if you are working with a limited budget. Most importantly, he is reliable, communicates well, and is trustworthy in your home. I will absolutely hire him again the next time I have a project.”

“Every so often, I have to check in with myself about whether I am on the right path in life and whether my priorities are straight. These questioning sessions led my husband, Richie, and I to the realization that time with our children was fleeting, and the tree house that we all talked about - the potential memories we envisioned - might never come about if we didn't move on it.
We didn’t have much money but were willing to make an investment in having quality family time. First, we talked it up with the kids to assess what they wanted in a tree house. Willow wanted a swing and slide, Lukas, a climbing rope and rock wall. I wanted a tree house also suitable for adults, where we too could have a getaway, and where I could sleep under the stars if I wanted too. I also wanted the tree house to have a reading nook, because reading and imagination are beautiful things, and a tree house seems to be a great place to cultivate the whimsical in all of us.
We called Chris for help. He listened to what we wanted as a family and drafted a design for us. He told us that for our budget, we could reuse wood discarded from other projects to save money and achieve the rustic look and feel we appreciate and wanted. Plus, reusing materials is more environmentally sound anyway.
The timing on the tree house couldn’t have been more perfect. Our family is so happy, especially now with the pandemic and shelter in place, with our beautiful and sturdy tree house. It’s a fantastic gathering spot for kids and adults. We can have breakfast or dinner in the tree house. I can sit on my hammock and relax. We can read, play games, or simply lay back, relax, and stare at the stars.
The investment in the tree house was one of the best decisions we made for our family. I highly recommend a tree house and think Chris is your person to get the job done.”
